Winner for Dryden Ontario – Scott Kelby’s 2nd Annual Worldwide Photowalk

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here as the summer renovations are well under way.

The Photowalk this summer was a blast, yet following up on the walk came the task of choosing a winner to be submitted to the worldwide competition.

Daunting task in the fact that what I see and like may not be what others see and like.  Option chosen… ask a multitude of others whom aren’t into photography what they feel about the shots.

So…in the end… the one that people felt would stand out amongst the others submitted to the winners group was Andrews park bench.

I have to admidt though… it was close.  People adored Joels “Happy Sunflower Summer Days” and said it reminded them of a postcard and with Doug’s “curve-bw” they felt drawn in…  yet one had to be chosen that would make people click on the thumbnail to see a larger version… one had to make people look twice… and that came down to Andrew’s shot above.

Unfortunately though… competition was even tougher on the International scale and a Grand Prize winner as well as 10 runners up have been chosen (they can be seen here).

So… since that time a voting site has been put up where all can vote on the Peoples Choice.  Check it out here.  As well… Scott Kelby has also posted some of his personal favourites which can be seen here.

Anyhow… just a quick update… the kidlet just woke and it’s back to work… more to come:)
