Nicole posing…

Nicole told me today she wanted some photos done and who was I to argue?  Honestly… someone to pose for me… without asking… ?

So she ran inside to change and I set up the gear.

Nicole wanted the shots done by the waterfront and in the trees…

I wasn’t really into the “tree shots” so I decided to make use of the yard.  Next up we moved to the “garage pad”…

I wanted less clutter in the background so had Nicole stand on the pad where the garage/shop is going to be built.  I was shooting from down below ground level, framed her so the tree in the background was there to compliment not distract and fired away.

Widening up the shot a bit, I converted this one to black and white.

But… Nicole still wasn’t satisfied…

The next thing I know she runs over to my old Ford Flareside 4×4 and jumps up into the box and then stands on the cab roof.  Yes… I was a bit nervous… but the sun setting behind her was too good to pass up.

I tried a couple of different styles for this set… each drastically different.

The first one here I LOVED the rim lighting caused by the sunset, yet wanted to add some “punch” to the shot.  I edited the colours a bit in ColorEffects to match the colour of the truck…

Next up was a silhouette that Nicole loves, yet I’m still on the fence about.  I wanted to try out a silhouette while the sun was setting behind her… again… she loves this shot… me…well… I’m up in the air.

Last but not least, a black and white silhouette… a bit of an adventurous pose, the black dress blends right into the shadows… but liked this one moreso than the one above.

I have to say, it was a great day shooting…
